SXSW - DRENGE

I remember when duos weren't that common and now we seem to have quite a few really great bands with just a drummer and a guitarist. You can now add Drenge to that list. Drenge is from Castleton in Derbyshire and made up of Eoin Loveless (guitar and vocals) and his younger brother Rory on drums. 

If you are curious about their name it is the Danish word for "boys" and they have been active since 2011 but just recently blew up overseas last year.  They have appeared at many festivals and are now making their way to the SXSW festival. I am really looking forward to seeing these guys live. 

Their album just came out last summer and they are already getting a great following. I am hoping SXSW is the platform they need to break into the US quickly. My favorites on their new self titled album are Nothing, Bloodsports, Backwaters and Face Like a Skull. 

Here is the video for Bloodsports. The SXSW schedule isn't out yet but of course my dream showcase would have both Drenge and Royal Blood playing at the same place on the same night.
