Empires is a great band from Chicago and I'm excited to see them live. Empires is Tom Conrad (guitars), Max Steger (guitar), Sean Van Vleet (lead vocals) and Mike Robinson (drums).

Empires just recently signed to Chop Shop/Island Records and will be releasing "Orphan" soon. With Sean's unique vocals and their great rock sound it keeps me hopeful that good old rock and roll is still alive.
I just discovered these guys while researching SXSW bands, but I'm looking forward to seeing them at SXSW this year. I am posting their first single from the new Orphan album - How Good Does It Feel. Their last album Garage Hymns has some great tracks on it - until Orphan comes out - check out Can't Steal Your Heart Away, Shame and We Lost Magic.
Empires have quite an extensive tour leading up to and after SXSW so I will also post that info here as well.
